Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire, a quiet community situated in The West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" area. The West Island can be confusing to those unfamiliar to its significance. Many people believe that it's an island to the that lies west of Montreal However, the West Island encompasses everything between the two cities that are Lachine as well as West. Amanda Brugel's birthplace is frequently referenced, however her brief time in the city did not last long. Brugel grew to be an aspiring young lady living in Courtice Ontario just outside Oshawa. After receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. Over the past 20 years, her roles on television and the big screen have varied. Her role as Rita from the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel, the only Canadian of the season 1 actors of the series and only seen occasionally was the only Canadian.
